Our refurbished sports equipment is up to 40% cheaper and more sustainable than buying new. It is completely renewed and carefully tested by experts. This is also the advantage over, for example, used skis, bicycles or fitness equipment. In addition, we have sports equipment made from recycled materials in our range. Refurbed products have at least a 12-month warranty and a 30-day trial period.

Surf feeling like never before - with the Twin model 

What happens when freeride legend Jeremy Jones teams up with surf shaper Chris Christenson? Clearly, you get a snowboard that you can surf pow lines with and a fun machine that is second to none. That is exactly what the Mind Expander is. The board with a surf touch is fun in any terrain and gives you a surf feeling that you haven’t experienced yet in snowboarding. This year, the Mind Expander has been completely redesigned and is available in a twin version. Even more freestyle fun with your lines. 

Riding style

With the Mind Expander you have snowboard meets surf on a new level. The somewhat different, playful all-mountain board is fun in any terrain!

Shape

The Directional Twin Shape gives you even more freestyle options while surfing playful mountain lines. Combined with the 3D Base Contour 3.0, the 3D-shaped base with a 7 mm rise in the nose and tail, lift in powder is guaranteed.

Profile

The** tip/tail rocker profile** was designed by shaper Chris Christenson especially for Jones boards like the Mind Expander. The nose rocker starts directly at the inserts of your front foot, the tail rocker directly at your back foot. Just a little pressure on the back foot and you have float like never before.

Flex

The medium flex (6/10) combines response and playfulness.

Construction

The heart of the Mind Expander is the Bamboo Surf Core. The bamboo and paulownia core with reinforcing stringers ensures powerful turns and response. Biax fibreglass makes for a fun and forgiving run, while **Flax/Basalt stringers **provide pop. Bio resin is plant-based and makes production a little more environmentally friendly. The** ECO-plastic topsheet** made from environmentally friendly castor seeds is lightweight and durable. The construction is rounded off by the Sintered 8000 Base. The lightweight base is easy and quick to repair thanks to the UHMW-PE. The material for edges and sidewalls is recycled, and Jones also uses Recycled Rounded ABS in the Surf Series, which extends the life of the board. The Mind Expander comes waxed with Wend Wax and ready to shred to your home!

refurbed is an online marketplace that serves as a one-stop-shop for sustainable consumption in various categories: electronics, household appliances, sports, and more.
Why should one buy from refurbed?
At refurbed, we offer you a more sustainable alternative to conventional sports goods. All sports goods listed on our platform are either refurbished or newly made from recycled materials. What does "refurbished" mean?

Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. By giving these items a second life, we can both reduce waste and offer more affordable sports equipment.
How is “refurbished” classified?
We want to offer affordable and environmentally conscious sports equipment without compromising on quality. Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. All our "refurbed" items are in perfect operating condition and are primarily graded based on visible signs of wear:
Excellent: Minor, not immediately visible optical defects.
Very good: Minor, visible optical defects.
Good: Visible optical defects.
What does "recycled" mean?
In line with our circular thinking, refurbed Sports offers not only refurbished products, but also new sports equipment made from recycled materials. This includes upcycled materials, old stock, pre- and post-consumer recycling, and other waste. By reusing existing materials, we minimise waste, consume fewer resources, and contribute to a better environment.
How does refurbed guarantee the quality of the products?
Only professional and certified refurbishers are allowed to offer their products on refurbed. We monitor customer satisfaction and refurbisher performance closely and conduct regular quality tests to ensure an excellent shopping experience for all. And finally, all our refurbishers are based within the EU to enable fast delivery times and optimal contact with the refurbisher.
How does the 30-day free trial work?
If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return it for free within the 30-day free trial. You can contact the refurbisher directly via your customer account and let them know that you want to exchange or return your item. Alternatively, you can of course also contact our refurbed customer service. We are happy to help and contact the refurbisher for you. You will receive a free return label from the refurbisher by email or in your customer account.
What are my warranty conditions?
We offer you a 12-month statutory warranty. This covers all defects, i.e. everything that is considered poor workmanship of the product and was not caused by your own actions.
Which environmental protection projects do we invest in?
We have planted over 6.6 million trees since our foundin, and we are very proud! We realised that planting trees alone does not tackle all of the environmental issues we a passionate about, however. That's why we now also support projects that
- restore landscapes — ecosystems are repaired and jobs are created, including tree planting along the way
- remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it permanently
- recycle electronic waste and reuse materials
