The Jones Frontier Split is the ultimate splitboard for playful riders looking for a splitboard with a directional freeride shape without a too-stiff flex. The Frontier comes with plenty of float for powder days, combined with a freestyle tail that’s perfect for attacking pillows and standing cliff drops. For icy crossings and harsh descents, the Directional Rocker profile and Inner/Outer Traction Tech 2.0 edges provide secure stability and edge grip. A great all-around package for riders who don’t want to be restricted even with a splitboard.

Riding style

The Frontier Split is your splitboard with medium flex and a playful feel for freestyle, hard pack and pow runs.

Shape

The Frontier comes with a directional shape that makes high speeds super easy and offers you good floatation. The blunt nose carries less snow over the sides of the nose to the back. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose without the extra weight. Traction Tech 2.0, the corrugated edge, ensures the best edge hold in all conditions.

Profile

The Directional Rocker consists of a camber between the bindings and a larger rocker at the nose than at the tail. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it additional buoyancy. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission. The slightly rockered tail increases power transmission and stability.

Flex

The medium flex offers a perfect balance of control and playfulness.

Construction

The FCS™ Classic Core is a premium solid poplar wood core. It offers you fun pop, consistent flex and solid construction. Biax fibreglass produces a forgiving, snappy ride. Bio Resin is plant-based and is used instead of petroleum-based epoxy. The **ECO-Plastic Topsheet **is made from castor seeds. This biomaterial is extremely light, resistant to scratches and breaks, and water and snow repellent. The material of the sintered 8000 Base is made of UHMW-PE and carbon. It is fast, easy to repair and absorbs wax excellently. All Jones boards are made with **oversized recycled steel edges **for added durability and improved sustainable production. The material for edges and sidewalls is recycled, and Jones is using Recycled Rounded ABS, which extends the life of the board. The Frontier Split comes with **Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0 **and the new **Karakoram Tip Clips **for even easier handling.

refurbed is an online marketplace that serves as a one-stop-shop for sustainable consumption in various categories: electronics, household appliances, sports, and more.

At refurbed, we offer you a more sustainable alternative to conventional sports goods. All sports goods listed on our platform are either refurbished or newly made from recycled materials. Furthermore, you have a 30-day free trial and a minimum 12-month warranty on every product. This way, you can shop with us without any risk.

What does "refurbished" mean?

These are products that are either used or can no longer be sold as new. Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. By giving these items a second life, we can both reduce waste and offer more affordable sports equipment.

How is “refurbished” classified?

We want to offer affordable and environmentally conscious sports equipment without compromising on quality. Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. All our "refurbed" items are in perfect operating condition and are primarily graded based on visible signs of wear:
Excellent: Minor, not immediately visible optical defects.
Very good: Minor, visible optical defects.
Good: Visible optical defects.

What does "recycled" mean?

In line with our circular thinking, refurbed Sports offers not only refurbished products, but also new sports equipment made from recycled materials. This includes upcycled materials, old stock, pre- and post-consumer recycling, and other waste. By reusing existing materials, we minimise waste, consume fewer resources, and contribute to a better environment.

How does refurbed guarantee the quality of the products?

Only professional and certified refurbishers are allowed to offer their products on refurbed. We monitor customer satisfaction and refurbisher performance closely and conduct regular quality tests to ensure an excellent shopping experience for all. And finally, all our refurbishers are based within the EU to enable fast delivery times and optimal contact with the refurbisher.

How does the 30-day free trial work?

If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return it for free within the 30-day free trial. You can contact the refurbisher directly via your customer account and let them know that you want to exchange or return your item. Alternatively, you can of course also contact our refurbed customer service. We are happy to help and contact the refurbisher for you. You will receive a free return label from the refurbisher by email or in your customer account.

What are my warranty conditions?

We offer you a 12-month statutory warranty. This covers all defects, i.e. everything that is considered poor workmanship of the product and was not caused by your own actions.

Which environmental protection projects do we invest in?

We have planted over 6.6 million trees since our foundin, and we are very proud! We realised that planting trees alone does not tackle all of the environmental issues we a passionate about, however. That's why we now also support projects that
- restore landscapes — ecosystems are repaired and jobs are created, including tree planting along the way
- remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it permanently
- recycle electronic waste and reuse materials
