Our refurbished sports equipment is up to 40% cheaper and more sustainable than buying new. It is completely renewed and carefully tested by experts. This is also the advantage over, for example, used skis, bicycles or fitness equipment. In addition, we have sports equipment made from recycled materials in our range. Refurbed products have at least a 12-month warranty and a 30-day trial period.

Since its launch, the Defenders of Awesome has won a Transworld Good Wood Award every year until 2019. Truly unbeaten, the DOA is one of the best all-mountain freestyle boards around. Its hybrid camber profile combines the pop and precision of a classic camber board with the compliance of a rocker board. Updated tech features such as the P2 Superlight Core™ and the new Hybrid Holysheet™ with carbon ensure balanced handling in any terrain.

The Defenders of Awesome is handmade in Austria in the first snowboard production facility powered by 100 % clean energy. It is a 7-time Good Wood Award winner.

Riding style This board is just right for experienced all-mountain junkies. The DOA offers a reactive ride with plenty of flexibility for piste, park and backcountry.

Shape The True Twin shape is perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride, ensuring that it’s equally versatile when ridden forward or switch.

Profile The Resort V1 profile comes with a traditional camber between the bindings and is flat outside the bindings, with a subtle rocker in the nose and tail. This profile gives you a stable ride but is still more playful and forgiving than a classic camber profile.

Flex The medium flex is ideal for the all-mountain design of this board. It’s hard enough for powerful turns but flexible enough for a playful ride.

Construction The FSC®-certified P2 Superlight Core™ is lightweight and versatile, with high impact resistance and maximum pop. Two** carbon strips** along the wood core increase performance and response. Harder, stronger, faster: the sintered Quantum Drive™ base creates a unique balance of speed and stability. The DOA uses a Hybrid Holysheet™ Bi/Bi Carbon Fibreglass for less weight. It was installed in the DOA with high-performance, plant-based Magic Bean™ resin for powerful and dynamic driving behaviour.

refurbed is an online marketplace that serves as a one-stop-shop for sustainable consumption in various categories: electronics, household appliances, sports, and more.

Why should one buy from refurbed?

At refurbed, we offer you a more sustainable alternative to conventional sports goods. All sports goods listed on our platform are either refurbished or newly made from recycled materials. This way, we reduce the dependence on new resources, reduce waste, and lower CO₂ emissions. In addition, for every item sold, we support environmental protection projects. Furthermore, you have a 30-day free trial and a minimum 12-month warranty on every product. This way, you can shop with us without any risk.

What does "refurbished" mean?

These are products that are either used or can no longer be sold as new. Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. By giving these items a second life, we can both reduce waste and offer more affordable sports equipment.

How is “refurbished” classified?

We want to offer affordable and environmentally conscious sports equipment without compromising on quality. Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. All our "refurbed" items are in perfect operating condition and are primarily graded based on visible signs of wear:
Excellent: Minor, not immediately visible optical defects.
Very good: Minor, visible optical defects.
Good: Visible optical defects.

What does "recycled" mean?

In line with our circular thinking, refurbed Sports offers not only refurbished products, but also new sports equipment made from recycled materials. This includes upcycled materials, old stock, pre- and post-consumer recycling, and other waste. By reusing existing materials, we minimise waste, consume fewer resources, and contribute to a better environment.

How does refurbed guarantee the quality of the products?

Only professional and certified refurbishers are allowed to offer their products on refurbed. We monitor customer satisfaction and refurbisher performance closely and conduct regular quality tests to ensure an excellent shopping experience for all. And finally, all our refurbishers are based within the EU to enable fast delivery times and optimal contact with the refurbisher.

How does the 30-day free trial work?

If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return it for free within the 30-day free trial. You can contact the refurbisher directly via your customer account and let them know that you want to exchange or return your item. Alternatively, you can of course also contact our refurbed customer service. We are happy to help and contact the refurbisher for you. You will receive a free return label from the refurbisher by email or in your customer account.

What are my warranty conditions?

We offer you a 12-month statutory warranty. This covers all defects, i.e. everything that is considered poor workmanship of the product and was not caused by your own actions.

Which environmental protection projects do we invest in?

We have planted over 6.6 million trees since our foundin, and we are very proud! We realised that planting trees alone does not tackle all of the environmental issues we a passionate about, however. That's why we now also support projects that
- restore landscapes — ecosystems are repaired and jobs are created, including tree planting along the way
- remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it permanently
- recycle electronic waste and reuse materials
