Prams, bouncers, baby monitors, changing bags: little ones need a lot, and much of it is outgrown within months. Refurbished baby and kids items from refurbed let you equip the nursery without paying full price for something your child will use for a short time.
Refurbished means a used item has been checked by experts, cleaned, repaired where needed and sold again with a warranty. It is a different thing from a private second-hand listing, as explained further down.
City walks, car trips and flights call for different gear. Folded size, weight and storage space usually matter more than long feature lists, so think about where the item will live when it is not in use.
Many baby items are made for a specific stage. A bouncer suits newborns, a playpen suits crawlers, a stroller seat suits older babies. The listing shows what the item is meant for.
Each listing describes the condition of the item in detail. Every item is checked by experts and comes with the min. 12-month warranty, so you can compare listings with confidence.
Rain covers, footmuffs, ride-on boards and changing bags often come as separate listings. Browsing the sub-categories helps you find matching pieces, and the description tells you what is included with each item.
The range covers strollers and buggies, baby bouncers, baby care, baby equipment, footmuffs, carrycots and changing tables. Brands include ABC Design, Asalvo, Astrup, Babify and Baby Jogger. Examples from the listings are the Bugaboo Fox 2 2-in-1 stroller, the Cybex Priam pushchair, the Béaba Babycook Smart and the Nola set with clothes rail, changing chest and cot. Stock changes often, so a quick look at the sub-categories pays off.
Refurbished baby and kids items cost up to 40% less than new. They are also more sustainable vs new: a pram or a bouncer that gets a second life means one fewer new product has to be made. For something that is used for a year or two, that is a sensible way to shop.
A private second-hand listing usually has no warranty, no tested condition and no return option. A refurbished item has been checked by experts and is covered by a min. 12-month warranty plus a 30-day free trial. If something is wrong, there is a clear route to fix it.
The item has been used before, then checked by experts, cleaned and repaired where needed, and is sold again with a warranty.
